Stephanie Reed, BA

Stephanie Reed is currently employed by Forests Trends, an international non-profit organization that works to promote sustainable forest management and conservation by creating and capturing market values for ecosystem services. Her work focuses on forest trade and finance as well as researching incentives and trends for private sector investment in ecosystem services. 

Prior to coming to Forest Trends, Ms. Reed worked with the U.S. Department of State in France and Belgium, focusing on political and economic issues. She has also served USAID in Madagascar, where she evaluated the range of environment and development projects. 

Ms Reed completed a B.A. in International Relations and French from the College of William and Mary, earning high honors for a thesis on U.S. Foreign Environmental Policy. In the fall of 2007, she will begin a Master of Science in Environment and Development at the London School of Economics and Politics. Stephanie speaks fluent English and French and very basic Malagasy.
