Priscila Russell
Priscila
Russell, a Panamanian native, is an outspoken proponent in getting the
United States to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of the
Child. She has spoken at conferences, demonstrations, and vigils,
to advance that cause internationally. Priscila Russell’s focus
is publically speaking to the nation on the issues of Rights of the
Child in the US. Being Panamanian, Ms. Russell personally knows the
negative effects of the US’s failure to ratify that CRC.
Children in the US are being denied their basic international human
rights, which are otherwise protected in every other country of the
world, including Panama. The US stands alone with Somalia as the
only country that has failed to ratify the CRC. In addition to
her public policy roles, Ms. Russell is an entrepreneur, marketing
consultant, professional writer, mother and grandmother. |
