Dr. Gayle Timberlake

Dr. Timberlake is a scholar, speaker, and coach with a passion for identity formation, growth and change. With over 17 years’ experience in corporate, nonprofit, ministry sectors, and as a respected academic and historian, she has unique ability to inspire others to live with meaning and purpose.

Dr. Timberlake holds a Ph.D. from North-West University, South Africa. Her academic pursuits led her throughout the U.S., the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and England where she read at Oxford. In academia, she is known as an ethnographer—one who studies peoples’ cultures and customs. Gayle holds and has held positions on local and global philanthropic boards including the American Heart Association, and as a chaplain at the University of Texas Canterbury Students Association.

Prior to coaching, she launched a start-up business in the tech industry and created strategies to complete a variety of initiatives, nationally and internationally. Diverse industries in her portfolio of business development clients include philanthropy, education, airline, education, healthcare, capital management, aviation, luxury travel, and professional services. As a corporate spokesperson for entities such as American Airlines and Sylvan Learning Systems, she orchestrated promotional events and formed two marketing divisions.

Dr. Timberlake served as a spokesperson for underserved indigenous people groups, from local business owners on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, orphans in rural St. Petersburg, and youth in townships in South Africa. Her work with orphaned children and started as a young girl and blossomed into the role of President of KIND, a Boca Raton, Florida based non-profit serving underprivileged minority children. She has been on the front lines of creating housing for college students in a war torn Middle Eastern nation, serving victims of street trafficking, and delegating raised funds for local non-profit organizations.

Dr. Timberlake holds a master’s degree from Trinity School for Ministry with an emphasis in counseling in addition to her studies at Wycliffe College, Oxford, Jerusalem University College, Jerusalem, Columbia and Yeshiva University, NYC.

Dr. Timberlake also teaches as a professor at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
