Mr. Yinka Lamboginny Lawanson

Mr. Yinka Lamboginny Lawanson is a passionate Nigerian Afro- dancehall Musician/ Global Prison Ambassador using his voice to advocate for prison reform across the world. Born December 21st 1984 in Lagos Nigeria. He is the first African musician to hold a musical therapy concert in prisons in Nigeria, HM Prison UK, and Cheshire Correctional Institution USA. He is the founder of the I BELIEVE IN AFRICA INITIATIVE (NGO) and I BELIEVE IN PRISON REFORM MOVEMENT.

Over the space of 11yrs he has been actively involved in prison reform. He has used his platform to secure freedom for 120 wrongfully/ minor offenders in prisons in Nigeria through donations from friends, family and musical colleagues. A total of 12,000 prison inmates (juveniles, males and females) have been positively impacted across Nigeria, U.K., U.S.A. through his musical concert in prisons.

He has been featured on both international and local media e.g CNN, BBC,MTVBASE, Korea broadcasting service, Channels Tv, Wazobia FM, Cool FM Just to mention a few.

He has been appointed as Ambassador by different Organizations and Government Agencies over the years due to his high level of contribution towards the development of the general society, the National Ambassador to Nigeria Prison Service sine 2010, The Ambassador to National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 2012 to 2013; A Board member West Africa Women Association in 2015. and the Ambassador to Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI) an Initiative by the former U.S. President Barack Obama.
