Ms. Alena Dique

Alena Dique is a Communication and HR Innovation professional from The Sultanate of Oman, with the latest experience in the Information and Communications Technology field. Her work revolves around the enhancement of products and services via customizing user experience (UX) through focus on methodologies plus resources used by companies to attract and retain the right audience whilst maintaining a healthy and dynamic working environment.

Alena is the first student from Oman to win the scholastic award in London for her research at University of Wales in the UK. At work, she was the youngest participant of the Executive Leadership Development Program– Strategic projects and Stakeholder Management, ICT Culture Change Committee and the Group Company’s Collaboration Team. She recently also bagged the position of a finalist among 500 nominations for the Women in Tech Awards Middle East 2019 in the category ‘Young leader of the year.’

In October 2018, she became the first youth delegate to represent the Sultanate of Oman at the UNCTAD 2018 Youth forum and the World Investment Forum 2018 at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. She was part of two Ted Style panel sessions as speaker and moderator for the topics; “Millennial Mind set Makeover” and “The Changing Job Market Landscape: why should I care?”

Alena is a staunch advocate for youth empowerment and for promoting diversity, she is involved in campaigns around mental health awareness and global social networks that focus on solutions to build a new reality that incorporates the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She’s also the brand ambassador and spokesperson for The Pink Project Oman, an International Volunteers initiative focused on Women’s empowerment in Africa and Asia. As well as a volunteer at The Mother Teresa’s home for orphans in India.
