Ariel Foundation International is in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations
In 2014, the second annual AFI Changemakers Right to Development Summit was back with even more ambition, taking place across two full days and involving twice the number of delegates at the first. Youth leaders discussed six crucial issues; food security, climate change, slavery and trafficking, sustainability, conflict zones and discrimination. Of these, the discrimination and slavery and trafficking groups produced full-length complimentary reports in addition to the main report. The 2014 Right to Development Summit also saw youth from across the world make presentations to mark HIV/AID days on the HIV/AIDs and Ebola crises.
