William Horsu has been a renowned finance, agribusiness, business Intelligence, and energy expert with over 15 years experience working with inclusive business models to help vulnerable youth, communities and the physically challenged to come out of poverty and address inequality using several approaches.
Influencing policies that addresses vulnerability whiles empowering vulnerable populations to build capacity through skills training, information technology, business and entrepreneurship development, cooperative and local advocacy groups, facilitating access to finance, markets and insurance helps creates social safety nets that enables socially exclusive populations to drive themselves out of poverty. William also been involved as the National Coordinator for the Ghana Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (UN Foundation) where he worked to coordinate access to clean cooking for numerous communities in Ghana and involved in several stakeholder and policy engagements. Whiles doing this work, he worked on facilitating access to funding from the RVO in Netherlands in partnership with SNV to build capacity of the Clean Cooking Alliance in Ghana and strengthen its work on the ground. William started his professional career from Unilever Plantation(BOPP) in the finance department and led the biodiversity project from 2007 -2009. Mr Horsu been involved also in private equity firm focused on agribusiness development in Africa as a manager. William is the project coordinator of Esoko Ghana and CookClean Ghana Ltd and Board Member of Institute for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Solutions( www.iseesghana.org) William is also a member of Royal Academy of Engineering -UK.
